The Weight of a Few Seconds

Without a doubt, there is a huge responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel.

My husband and I recently had two close encounters on the road where safety was nearly compromised by other drivers.

In one instance, a car cut into our lane as we were both entering a roundabout.

In another, a vehicle attempted to turn into our lane while a stationary car was parked along the road. She had signalled, but we were in her blind spot and narrowly avoided a collision. Horns were sounded, and she didn’t seem pleased about it.

Moments like these are a reminder of how quickly things can escalate on the road.

I’m thankful to God that my husband was alert enough to respond in time and prevent anything serious from happening.

Grateful for safe journeys, every time we travel.
