My Little Confession

When I was younger, I couldn’t wait to grow up—to look mature, be taken seriously, and step confidently into “adult life.” Ironically, as the years go by, that perspective begins to shift. It’s less about appearing older, and more about feeling healthy, grounded, and quietly holding onto a sense of youthfulness—not out of vanity, but out of respect for your well-being.

Today, while running errands on behalf of my husband, a staff member asked me, “Are you a student?” I won’t deny it—that moment stayed with me for the rest of the day. A small, unexpected joy. But beyond that, it stirred a deeper reflection. Taking care of ourselves goes far beyond appearances or validation. It’s about how we nourish our bodies, how we rest, and how we choose to live each day.

To be alive is a gift.
To be able to eat is a blessing.
To be able to rest is vital.

So take care of yourself—not just for how you look, but for how you live. Not just for yourself, but for the people who depend on you.
