I Told You…

Ever found yourself thinking, “Why doesn’t so-and-so get it? The instructions were crystal clear?”

I  know I have.

I came across a meme ages ago that perfectly captures that feeling. It was funny at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I could relate.

We’ve all been there – giving clear instructions, yet somehow things still don’t go as planned. It’s easy to point fingers, but before doing so, let’s take a moment to reflect: Is the person really at fault, or could something have been clearer on our end?

We all have different perspectives, and how we interpret things varies. Take the word “ship,” for example. To some, it’s a luxury cruise; to others, it might evoke military vessels. For me, it’s The Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. 🏴‍☠️

Sometimes, we think we’ve nailed something down perfectly, only to realise that, with a fresh perspective, there’s room for improvement.

Instead of getting frustrated with someone who didn’t quite get it, ask yourself: How can I make it clearer so everyone understands better next time?
